Actually there are some quality of plywood as raw material of furniture, but for cheap price they will use bad quality of plywood. Low grade of plywood usually use for structural purpose like roof sheathing. High quality plywood actually use as paneling, furniture and cabinet. The quality of plywood it self divide into 4 grade from grade A to D.
Plywood material also can be from several source such as soft wood and hard wood. Soft wood have longer fiber than hardwood. Soft wood source are fir, pine, cedar, spruce and redwood tree. Softwood also as raw material of viscose fiber industry, while hardwood usually just can use for raw material in paper industry.
To make plywood can be produced from either saw dust or wood ply, wood ply is made by slicing wood in wide size. This raw material then mixed with
wood glue like urea formaldehyde or
epoxy resin. For wood ply is just add glue at all surface then coupled and press. After gluing all surface, then wood ply is press with hot plate to make fast dry.
